Everybody wants to have a smart child. But if you want a smart child, you have to maintain your pregnancy period smartly. Having a smart diet routine makes the baby smart and intelligent. There are a few foods which contribute to the healthy growth of the child during pregnancy.

Having a diet chart according to doctor’s advice is great. Here I am going to mention some foods that are really important for the growth of the brain of your baby. Let’s see the names.

Green Leafy Vegetables:

Eating green leafy vegetables keep your baby’s brain safe from tissue damage. Green vegetables contain folic acid. Folic acid contributes to the cell formation of the brain. It is also responsible for developing the spine and neural tube. If you add green leafy vegetables to your diet chart, it’ll make sure that the growth of your child’s brain is sound.

During the last trimester of pregnancy, you may be attacked by preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication. This may damage the kidney and cause high blood pressure. Folic acid reduced the chance of being attacked by this disease. You can use folic-acid supplements instead of green leafy vegetables, but I suggest to consult a doctor before doing that.

Blueberries:

Blueberries come with a huge amount of antioxidants. Besides keeping your cells safe from free-radicals, antioxidants work for developing the brain of your child. These are responsible for the cognitive development of your baby. So, don’t forget to put some blueberries in your daily diet chart.

Instead of blueberries, you can take other berries like raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries. Besides the berries, tomatoes, beans, and artichokes are also great sources of antioxidants. So, you can add those two to your diet list.

Eggs:

An egg is a great source of protein. During pregnancy, protein is important for you. Besides protein, the egg contains choline, a type of amino acid, which is important for your child. It aids to the brain development of your baby. Besides this, choline is also responsible for sharpening the memory. So, when you are pregnant, you must have some well-boiled eggs.

Before eating eggs, make sure that it is boiled properly. If it is not boiled properly, you might be attacked by bacteria.

Salmon:

Salmon is a fish that contains Omega 3 fatty acid. It is very important for the brain development of your baby. A pregnant woman should take a meal of salmon fish at least twice a week. There are some other fishes like salmon that contains Omega 3 fatty acid. Herring, Mackerel, Lake Trout, Sardines, Albacore Tuna, etc. are some other fishes with this component.

So, at the time of pregnancy, you must keep one of these fishes in your weekly diet list if you want sound mental growth of your baby.

Greek Yogurt:

Greek Yogurt is food that contains two different elements for the mental growth of your baby. First one is protein. Being rich in protein, Greek yogurt helps your baby to gain healthy nerve cells in the womb. It is important for the cognitive development of your baby.

Besides protein, Greek yogurt also contains iodine. Iodine prevents low birth weight and makes the baby intelligent by focusing on the development of the brain. So, don’t forget to have some Greek yogurt in your daily meals.

Milk:

Milk contains iron that is very much important for the brain development of your baby. If your baby doesn’t get enough iron when it is in the womb, it can’t grow mentally sound. Besides, contingent development is also impossible without enough amount of iron.

For supplying iron to the womb, milk is one of the best foods that you can take every day. It is also helpful for your body as it keeps you active. So, as a pregnant woman, you should drink milk every day for the safety of you and your baby.

Beans:

Beans are another great source of iron. Besides of developing the brain, iron also transports oxygen to the nerve cells of your child’s brain. As a result, it gets adequate oxygen to make the development process quick and sound.

Containing a good amount of iron, beans are essential for you during pregnancy. You can consume beans in different ways. Just make sure that you are taking beans that are enough cooked to be eaten and digested easily.

Cheese:

Cheese is a great source of vitamin D. Vitamin D helps to develop IQ when the baby is in the womb. Mommies with lower vitamin D intake get their son with low IQ level. So, vitamin D is very much important if you want your baby to be smart and intelligent.

As a source of vitamin D, cheese can be an important element on your dining table. It will make you healthy besides developing IQ of your baby.

Pumpkin Seeds:

Pumpkin seeds contain a lot of zinc. If you take foods rich in zinc, the brain of your baby will develop properly. So, add some pumpkin seeds to your daily meal plan if you want your baby to have a properly developed brain.

Besides pumpkin seeds, beef, lamb, pork, nuts, and whole grains, etc. also contains enough zinc to develop the brain of your child.

Almonds:

Almond is a source of omega 3 fatty acid and some other important elements that help the brain growth of your baby. I have already said that omega 3 fatty acid is very much important for the brain development of your baby.

Besides, vitamin E, protein and other elements of almond also contribute to the brain as well as body development of your baby.
